MindShift creates awareness and competency for adults who work with youths through training program
(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) — NEWS: MindShift has developed a patented training system for adults that helps them be confident as adult counterparts can confidently help teens and young adults in crisis. MindShift is quickly becoming recognized nationally as one of the top youth behavioral health training programs for teachers, religious leaders, and athletes.
MindShift has a patent-pending proprietary method for creating scenarios and to educate adults on recognizing and responding to the symptoms of a mental health crisis. The training allows adult participants to save lives and speak to fellow volunteers in an effort to save their peers’ lives.
Rappers and actor George Lopez have made motivational speeches to support MindShift’s goal of creating a sense of urgency to help teens, especially the homeless youth who are targeted by gangs and feel pressured to join gangs. Lopez shared that taking his MindShift training was instrumental in saving a young man’s life. This led to him creating his Institute of Transformative Thought (IVTF) and putting together a team of some of the most highly respected thought leaders in the world for several seminars and workshops to train millions of educators and youth volunteers about the dangers of youth suicide and self-harm.
As adults, our long-term goal is to have a worldwide MindShift Center of Excellence teaching adults around the world to help teens, especially the homeless and unwanted youth that feel they have no place to turn.
