The charts are organized by Maker Mindset Type and are organized by The Employment Demographics of Bay Area Teens (MGees) and California Teen Skills to Employment Ratio (Ectinga).

The data at the top right of the map shows the U.S. White Working Class (WMF) and small rural communities. In one chart, the brownish area above the SW U.S. is shown as a composite of Region II (West): 54% White, 30% nonwhite, and 26% immigrants. The data underneath in another chart show all 3 1/2 regions, with Region II (West) as the anchor.

After the West-area cap, Regions II and V together have 9.2% Black, 16.8% Asian, and 9.4% American Indian. Region VI (North, South, and Central) has a 47.1% Black, 5.7% Asian, and 17.4% American Indian. Region VII (East and West) is 93.8% White.

In Region VI, small rural towns are a lot more likely to have a White population of fewer than 10 persons than the average among all 3 regions.

On the higher right of the map, we show that geographic concentration of small rural towns really varies within regions.

Within Region VI, the percentage of lower class males (taking 30th grade equivalency) is close to the national average.

In Region VI, Southern California states have a pretty high proportion of black males in high school, just as they do across the state as a whole.

In Region VI, Alaska Native students have a strong advantage compared to the nation as a whole.

The biggest advantage among teenaged males in Region VI is located in California.
